Scracth Level 2 - Racing Game

A difficulty I had during programming was setting up the specific points the player needed to pass in order for the game to recognize that they completed a lap. For example, I would put in the coordinates and play my game to see if it would work, often my laps would not count as complete and I would have to re-coordinate all the points. This was fixed mostly by trial and error. Another difficulty would be the placement of my car. Originally, my car was facing upwards and would start from the left side of the bush, but I soon found out that when I programmed the movement the car was moving sideways. Obviously, that's not how a car works, so instead, I changed the starting place and the direction my car was facing to correspond with the controls. 2. GameMaker - Asteroids Part A

Sometimes I would try to run my game to see how it was going so far and I would get a message saying there was an error. The only way I solved it was by going back to my coding to make sure I input the right information and spelling. Other than that, the tutorial helped a lot and made it so that I didn't end up with many difficulties.

Final Project Proposal

My final project will be learning to sculpt in blender and texturing the model afterward. If I have time leftover for the project, I will rig the model and create an animation with it. I will be submitting a fully sculpted and textured character through a .blend file and a rendered image or two. If I complete an animation I will send a .avi file instead of rendered images. I will mostly be using tutorials for sources such as how to sculpt and familiarize myself with the tools. Other than that, I will add my own ideas by creating an original character of my own or using an existing one. I plan to add details to the character and brainstorming of different methods I can achieve with stylizing a character. The main steps to completing my project will be: 1. figuring what I want to sculpt and making the general shape. 2. Complete the sculpture. 3. Add details. 4. Texture. A bonus step would be 5.
